Anoushka Parikh of Ahmedabad reached the under-19 singles final of Gujarat State Major Ranking Badminton Tournament held at Vadodara on Saturday.

In the semis, top seed Anoushka faced little resistance to beat Vadodara’s Janhvi Khanna 21-17, 21-12.

In under-17 boys singles, Bhavin Karamchandani of Mehsana, who stunned top seed Abhyudya Agrawal of Ahmedabad in the quarters, saw his run halted as he suffered a 22-24, 14-21 loss against Digvi jaysinh Kushwaha of Valsad.

Meanwhile, second seeded Dhrumil Patel of Mehsana defeated Anirudhsinh Kushwaha of Valsad, 21-23, 21-19, 21-16.

DIPTI, SALVI FACE-OFF IN FINALS

In the under-17 girls singles, top seeded Dipti Kuity of Kutch brushed aside Devarshi Sanghvi of Ahmedabad, 21-15, 21-12 whereas second seed Salvi Shah of Ahmedabad beat Kosha Trivedi of Vadodara 16-21, 21-18, 21-13.

Mr Rajesh started coaching from Sports Club of Gujarat in 2000. Worked with and for all clubs of Ahmedabad & conducted coaching camps for State Team for Nationals / Zonal Tournaments. He has conducted coaching camps for upcoming Elite players of all age groups who have performed in State and national level tournaments
